OPG Branko Marinov is a family-run farm located in Gornji Vezac near Primošten, in the heart of the Dalmatian karst. We produce extra virgin olive oil, homemade wine, and traditional Croatian brandy (rakija).
Not as an industry.
Not as mass production.
But as a continuation of what has been done here for generations.
The olives, the vines, and the land we work on existed before us and, we hope, will remain long after us.

Why do we produce olive oil?
We produce olive oil because our ancestors did the same.
Not out of nostalgia, but because it is part of our identity and a way of life that still makes sense here.
It is a calm life, but at the same time an extremely demanding one — physically and mentally.
We believe Croatian olive oil has a place on the global stage. Croatia is already recognized for quality, but we believe it can go even further — through honest work, a slow pace, and without taking shortcuts.
What does olive oil production look like on our farm?
The working day does not start with an alarm clock, but with the body’s natural rhythm. We usually wake up around 6 or 7 a.m., while the start of work always depends on weather conditions.
In winter, we often wait for the morning dew to disappear and for the sun to warm the air. In summer, work starts earlier.
Throughout the year, different tasks take place in the olive grove: pruning, fertilizing, mowing, and finally harvesting. Olives are hand-picked and processed the same day, which we consider essential for producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

How much olive oil do you produce each year?
We produce up to 1,000 liters of olive oil per year.
This is a small quantity compared to global production, but it is a conscious choice. We do not plan to increase production, because quality matters more to us than volume.
We do not want to grow at any cost or lose control over what we do. We remain small because we know exactly why we are.
How is your olive oil different from supermarket olive oil?
Today, olive oil is one of the most frequently adulterated food products. A lot of oil is sold as extra virgin even when it is not.
We do not engage in debates, statistics, or comparisons.
Our answer is simple:
Try it — you will taste the difference.
Our olive oil comes from a single area, is not blended, is not industrially processed, and we use it ourselves in our own kitchen. That is our only real benchmark.
Do you also produce wine and rakija?
Yes. Alongside olive oil, we also produce homemade wine and traditional Croatian rakija.
Wine is today more strictly regulated than olive oil, which has its advantages, but through numerous corrections and interventions, much of what is natural can be lost.
We work in small quantities, without forcing the process and with minimal intervention. Rakija is produced traditionally, without unnecessary aromas or industrial methods.
Who is this olive oil not for?
This olive oil is not for those looking for the lowest price.
If quantity and discounts are the only criteria, there are probably better options elsewhere. Our oil is intended for those who value origin, production methods, and taste — and who understand why some things remain limited.
Where is your farm located?
We are located in Gornji Vezac, near Primošten, in Dalmatia. Rocky soil, Mediterranean climate, sun, and wind create demanding conditions, but it is precisely these conditions that give character to the olives, grapes, and fruit.
Where can I buy your olive oil, wine, and rakija?
Our products can be purchased directly from us, through our website, or via selected sales channels. Buying directly from the farm means no intermediaries — just a product with a clear origin and a known story.
Small, but sweet
We do not build big marketing stories.
We do not promise miracles.
We do what makes sense and continue where others stopped.
Small, but sweet.
